With our Be Welcome sponsorship program, we support people with refugee or migrant backgrounds in settling in and getting ahead in Germany, and we connect them with volunteers who accompany them on part of their journey.
Forming
tandems Whether families with children, couples, or individuals—people are as diverse as the tandem relationships they form.
Support is sought, for example
- Visits to government offices
- in everyday life for doctor's appointments, etc.
- with basic orientation in the world of work
- in a school context
There is great interest in language sponsorships in order to be able to use the German language in everyday life and to get to know German culture better.
As part of this project, we bring together volunteers and people with refugee and migration experience in so-called sponsorships, accompany the tandem partners through counseling, exchange meetings for volunteers, regular information on a wide variety of topics, training courses, and events.
What should you bring with you?
When matching partners, we place particular emphasis on bringing together people with similar interests and ideas in a sponsorship.
The duration, time allocation, and content of the sponsorship are flexible and can be agreed upon individually.
